Unul dintre cele mai iubite spectacole din repertoriul Teatrului de Păpuși „Puck” din Cluj-Napoca revine pe scena instituției la finalul acestei săptămâni. Este vorba de „Punguța cu doi bani”, după Ion Creangă, în scenariul și regia lui Decebal Marin, programat pentru duminică, 30 octombrie, de la orele 11 și 12.30. De asemenea, sâmbătă, 29 octombrie, va fi prezentat spectacolul „Meseszőnyeg”/ „Covorașul Fermecat”, în regia Ibolyei Varga.
Spectacolul „Punguța cu doi bani” este apreciat de multe generații de copii clujeni și un numai. Peripețiile cocoșului alungat de acasă în basmul omonim al lui Ion Creangă sunt povestite într-o manieră originală și plină de culoare în spectacolul montat de Decebal Marin. Este o reprezentație foarte colorată și construită ingenios, de la păpușile care apar în scenă până la integrarea actorilor în ansamblu. Regizorul a optat pentru o mobilitate cât mai mare a planurilor scenice, așă că decorul se schimbă tot timpul, fapt care solicită și alternarea tipurilor de păpuși folosite. În versiunea lui Decebal Marin, „Punguța cu doi bani” e un spectacol savuros, care provoacă nu doar entuziasmul și participarea copiilor, ci și amuzamentul adulților.
Distribuția este formată din Ramona Atănăsoaie, Dana Bonțidean, Andreea Bolovan, Angelica Pamfilie, Ion Iurcu, Călin Mureșan, Ionuț Constantinescu/Iulian Lungu, Robert Trifan și Adina Ungur.
Scenografia este semnată de Sandu Marian, iar ilustrația muzicală de Traian Păcurar.
Durata spectacolului este de 50 de minute.
Reprezentațiile au loc în limba română, iar vârsta minimă recomandată este de trei ani.
Un spectacol cu magie și miracole
Totodată, sâmbătă, 29 octombrie, de la ora 11, este programat spectacolul „Meseszőnyeg”/ „Covorașul Fermecat”, după Ferenc Móra.
Spectacolul îmbină patru basme care ne călăuzesc într-un univers magic. Copiii şi părinţii îl pot traversa cu uşurinţă datorită „poveştilor tatălui”, trandafirii capătă voci umane, Poştaşul-vânt aduce scrisoare din partea lui Moş Crăciun iar regele fluturilor o vindecă pe Pannika în mod miraculos.
Regia și dramatizarea sunt semnate de Varga Ibolya, muzica de Péter Venczel, scenografia şi grafica de Anetta Fekete, iar Horváth Jonathán contribuie la muzica şi recuzita spectacolului. Distribuţia este alcătuită din Patka Ildikó, Pünkösti Laura, Urmánczi Jenő şi Kötõ Áron.
Spectacolul este prezentat în limba maghiară, iar vârsta minimă recomandată este de trei ani.

Biletul de intrare la spectacolele prezentate la sediul Teatrului de Păpuși „Puck” din Cluj-Napoca la final de săptămână costă 40 de lei pentru adulți, 20 de lei pentru pensionari și 10 lei pentru preșcolari, elevi și studenți.

The Singing Hat is a wonderful story of a father and his daughter whose lives are changed when one day a bird makes a nest in an unusual place…. This causes them challenges for everyday life in the city, but it also brings them a new way of looking at the world.
The concept of the project is designed by Rachel Warr, from Great Britain and together with the team from Cluj they produced a genuine and delicate show, in which the spectators will uncover a unique perspective on the flow of life.
Beyond the turmoil and the agitation of everyday life, the two leading characters, discover together with the spectators a new aspect of inner life, raw emotions and what really matters.
A non verbal show that conveys profound meanings and feelings.

In this show, the hat was indeed a troubled one, being a challange for me but also for the entire cast. We had to work with the director, Rachel Warr, from distance, but we loved this show and we did our best. The story carries us towards our authentic self. (Andra Ștefan)

“Pockets full of bread is an absurd, tragicomic play about conscience, humanity, and death. At the same time, the show is a criticism towards the moral qualities in which the modern human dwells.
The contemporary human being, obsessed with their self-made complex moral value system, doesn’t abandon the problems and the conflicts but doesn’t solve them either. They sit and debate. Filling their pockets with breadcrumbs, they throw them feverishly into the pit, instead of lifting up the helpless dog. They delay acting efficiently. They look for scapegoats, for possible solutions, make plans or delegate rescue plans. All their actions are taken from a comfort place, their chair, sheltered by their own theories, fervently shouting speeches about noble causes. Therefore, life passes around them, with its real dramas, without acquitting them from a guilty conscience. A betrayed humanity takes its revenge; the space feeds itself upon uncertainty and the smell of death.”

This play is a case of an everyday matter that has shifted into a metaphor. An example of the powerful force of a trivial event, which filtered through a reflection, gains metaphysical potential. It has happened to me, since then, to write starting from a mundane fact, but I never had such a compelling revelation, embedded with a dramatic situation brought up by such an impressive real context.
It is an important play for me, that brings me back to Romania, to the period in which I was a teacher and also a young writer, playwright and a poet and I thought that literature had both critical and denunciation roles. I am very pleased with the fact that this play survived, got beyond time boundaries, generational borders and passed beyond linguistic frontiers. When a play crosses three decades, maybe it grasped something about the human nature.

Rational storytelling is an under-explored and under-used tool in children’s education in Romania. In recent years, specialists from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at Babeș Bolyai University in Cluj have developed a series of stories that teach young children to build resistance to frustration, to cope with anxiety or anger, and to accept themselves. Puck Theatre aims to take over and expand this unique project by adapting stories for preschool children. The performance „The Tale of the Three Little Squirrels” was inspired by Virginia Waters’ book of rational stories for children, published in 1980 and published in Romanian in 2003 by the Romanian Centre for Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies.
Here are some of the statements that the Rational Stories offer us as a tool in managing difficult situations, regardless of the age at which we face them:
I wish things could be different, but I know it won’t happen just because I want it to.
I can accept that things can happen to me in life that I don’t want, even if they are unpleasant, and I try to avoid them.
It’s very unpleasant that this happens to me, but it’s not the worst thing in the world.
I think I can handle such unpleasant situations.
It’s unpleasant, but I accept the fact that I can’t control the situation the way I want to.
It’s unpleasant, but not catastrophic to feel that way.

The story of the three little squirrels, in the scenic vision of Dana Bonțidean, is an entertaining and funny show, in which each of us will identify with one or another of the characters, and children will discover that every problem, however complicated, has at least one solution, and this is a ‘rational’ one.

This adaptation proposes a nonconformist view in contrast with the mainstream mise-en-scene but also it is the most suitable one. How else one could illustrate the unsetteling actions of the destiny over humanity? The world of humans is directly manipulated by the gods and by misterious forces, with a logic unknown to us. Here, the gods are pulling the strings in full view but humans cannot see them.
The Adventures of Puck is a show adapted after William Shakespeare’s play into a esentialized manner. It is a performance that addresses the young audience and is meant to wake their curiosity about the big culture of the world. It is an adventure of knowledge.
Puck, the elf, which is the patron of the children’s theatre in Cluj, becomes the guardian of the spectators thorughout differnt worlds: the world of gods, the world of fairies and the world of mortals. Animation theatre is used as a tool in order to better understand the intervowen fantastic realms. The world of mortals is represented by puppets in contrast to the world of gods and fairies. Symbol of fate, Puck, triggers magical experiences and chaotic situations, full of humour.

Bored by their life spent in a little cottage, Vasilache and Marioara decided that it is time to start a new journey. What they don’t know yet, is the plethora of adventures that are waiting for them, by traveling through both time and space.
Ionuț Constantinescu reframes and adapts the traditional fair theatre story of Vasilache and his wife Marioara, into a new context, with new characters, fantastic encounters and enchanted objects. This time, the main characters become explorers and come across, during their journey with God, the Devil, Death, Elvis Presley and many other characters that add humour to the plot.
„In general, in the fair theatre and especially in the context of Vasilache and Marioara plays, there are iconic characters, which always win the situations by using their cunningness and kindness. I kept this traditional way of portraying the main characters but I also added a certain ingenuity that is specific to curious people and knowledge seekers.
I wanted to ressurect the fair theatre genre, which unfortunately, was lately forgotten. The power of this genre lies in the esentialization of the moralizing message. Premiul pentru cel mai bun spectacol al Festivalului Internațional „Puck” a fost acordat în această seară spectacolului „Kunterbunt”, în regia Anei Crăciun – Lambru, prezentat de Teatrul pentru Copii și Tineret „Gong” din Sibiu. Ediția a 20-a evenimentului a avut loc la Cluj-Napoca între 17 și 21 octombrie 2022 și a fost precedat de conferința conferința „Teatru de animație și literatură. Despre o dramaturgie a imaginarului”.
Festivitatea de premiere a avut loc vineri, 21 octombrie, la Teatrul de Păpuși „Puck”. Juriul a decis următoarele premii:
Premiul pentru cel mai bun spectacol al acestei ediții îi revine spectacolului „Kunterbunt” în regia Anei Crăciun – Lambru, prezentat de Teatrul pentru Copii și Tineret „Gong” din Sibiu.
Premiul pentru „dramaturgia imaginarului” i-a fost acordat spectacolului „Tabula Rosa”, în regia Evgheniei Tsichlia, prezentat de Teatrul de Păpuși „Hop Signor” din Grecia.
Premiul „Kovacs Ildiko” pentru universul vizual a fost acordat spectacolului „Muzicanții din Bremen”, prezentat de artiștii Teatrului „Puck”.
Premiul „Mona Marian” pentru cea mai bună interpretare colectivă le revine artiștilor Teatrului pentru Copii și Tineret „Luceafărul” din Iași, pentru spectacolul nonverbal „Stația Clovnilor”, în regia Anei Crăciun Lambru.
Premiul pentru cea mai bună muzică îi revine lui Bakos Árpád, pentru universul sonor din spectacolul „Muzicanții din Bremen”, după Frații Grimm, în regia lui Rumi László, prezentat de artiștii Teatrului de Păpuși „Puck” din Cluj-Napoca.
Premiul pentru cea mai bună actriță i-a fost acordat Mădălinei Ghițescu Petre, pentru rolul din spectacolul „Cufărul celor șapte pitici”, adaptare după Frații Frimm de Béres László, după o idee de Kovács Ildikó. Spectacolul a fost prezentat de Teatrul pentru Copii și Tineret „Merlin” din Timișoara.
Premiul pentru cel mai bun actor i-a revenit actorului Cristi Brătoiu, pentru rolul din spectacolul „Cufărul celor șapte pitici”.
Premiul special al juriului pentru mânuire se acordă spectacolului „Tabula Rosa”, în regia Evgheniei Tsichlia, prezentat de Teatrul de Păpuși „Hop Signor” din Grecia.
Nu în ultimul rând, Premiul pentru Secțiunea dedicată studenților, a fost acordat pentru integrarea tehnicilor actoricești/de mânuire în spectacol Se(di)ntiment, prezentat de studenții Universității de Arte din Târgu Mureș, secția Arta spectacolului păpuși-marionete.
Spectacolele din competiție au fost jurizate de Luise Lapointe, director al Festivalului de la Casteliers (din Montreal, Canada), Sun Wook Hyon, managerul Festivalului din Chuncheon (Coreea), Raluca Sas Marinescu, cadru didactic la Facultatea de Teatru și Film a Universității „Babeș-Bolyai” din Cluj-Napoca și scenograful Epaminonda Tiotiu.
Spectacolele și evenimentele conexe din cadrul Festivalului Internațional „Puck” 2022 au reunit pe parcursul manifestării aproximativ 4.000 de spectatori.

După o săptămână de festival, Teatrul „Puck” le pregătește micilor spectatori și pentru acest weekend două spectacole: „Sărmanul Djoni și Arnica”/„ Szegény Dzsoni és Árnika” (sâmbătă, 22 octombrie, de la ora 11) și „Cartea cu Apolodor” (duminică, 23 octombrie, de la 11 și 12.30).
Sâmbătă, 22 octombrie, de la ora 11, cei mici sunt așteptați la spectacolul „Sărmanul Djoni și Arnica”/„ Szegény Dzsoni és Árnika”, după Ervin Lázár, în regia Ibolyei Varga.
Este un spectacol despre dragoste adevărată, responsabilitate, loialitate, perseverență, libertate și multe alte valori fundamentale.

De asemenea, duminică, 23 octombrie, de la orele 11 și 12.30 va putea fi urmărit spectacolul „Cartea cu Apolodor”, după Gellu Naum, în regia Monei Marian. Este unul dintre cele mai iubite spectacole din repertoriul instituției.
„Cartea cu Apolodor” a participat la un turneu în Arizona, SUA, la invitaţia Arizona State University, un turneu în Franţa, iar apoi a participat la Festivalul Culturii Române de Flennek la Bialystok. Totodată, spectacolul clujean a reprezentat România la Festivalul Eurokids din Washington D.C.

Despre Teatrul de Păpuşi „Puck”
Teatrul de Păpuşi „Puck” a fost înfiinţat în 1950 și se află în subordinea Consiliului Județean Cluj. Palmaresul instituției cuprinde peste 300 de premiere, atât la secţia română, cât şi la cea maghiară, precum și importante premii şi nominalizări. Repertoriul actual al Teatrului de Păpuşi „Puck” este alcătuit din aproximativ 25 de titluri de spectacole pentru copii. Începând cu anul 2002, instituţia clujeană este gazda Festivalului Internaţional „Puck”, unul din evenimentele importante ale Clujului, iar din septembrie 2017 a inițiat Festivalul Stradal „WonderPuck”, un eveniment dedicat întregii familii.
